Can bacteria or fungi live and grow in diet orange soda, or any other soda?

That is, can they live and grow in carbonated soft drinks if they were innoculated into them? Can bacteria or fungi live and grow in diet orange soda, or any other soda?
All soft drinks are prone to spoilage due to yeast, fungi and bacterial growth. These proliferate because of their ability to resist sorbic and benzoic acid, tolerate highly acidic levels, and grow anaerobically (i.e. thrive in an environment without oxygen). Can bacteria or fungi live and grow in diet orange soda, or any other soda?
While theory says that bacteria need certain nutrients to survive and go, I have learned that they can really grow anywhere, in anything. I work in Biology research and once went for a tube of 100% isopropanol (rubbing alcohol), which of course is suppose to be a disinfectant, able to kill germs on contact. Well there was a huge colony of bacteria growing in it!!

As far as your question, if a soft drink where contaminated with even the smallest speck of bacteria, it will grow. While not the bacteria's favorite environment, it is acidic (which most species like acidic environments) and has loads of glucose for energy!!
Would depend on the bacteria and their nutrient requirements. Some bacteria are acidophiles and can grow in acidic environments. I remember from bio lab that fungi are easily inoculated onto acid peptone agar. So it's possible I think...
