What are the appearance of the fungus or bacteria contamination in plant tissue culture (medium use is agar)?

Here is simple explanation in layman's terms:





Fungus typically looks like a fluffy white mess, with a little bit of dark green. You can always identify fungus by it's telltale tendrils, which are small microscopic rods that stick out of the center of the colony and grow outwards.





Bacterial contaminations on agar look like puddles of ooze. Sometimes they are a colorful red, orange, or brown. Typically the puddle of ooze will be circular (in early stages) or there are several small ';dots'; of shiny liquid ooze next to each other. These are small bacterial colonies.
