Why and how does temperature effect the growth rate of fungi?

Why does temperature effect the growth rate of fungi? Is it because the warmer the temperature, the faster the spore colonize or something? Or what? Or is it because less water is evaporated or something from the surface?

EX: My bread slices are wet and in plastic bags at different temperatures, why does temperature effect the rate of growth?Why and how does temperature effect the growth rate of fungi?
Fungi are microorganisms that require a temperature at least of 20 掳C for growth and supporting temperatures of at least 50 掳C. Their optimum temperature varies with species.

That means between 20 and 38掳C f.e. growth rate increases and decreases in higher temperature till it stops at more than 50掳C.

It is a species typical fact like humans prefer 36,6掳C body heat and snakes only about 30掳C.

Table 1. of this site shows ';Mycelial growth rate (mm/hour) of thermophilic fungi in PDA medium at different temperatures';
