If you're talking about microscopic fungi compared to bacteria you need to remember fungi are eukaryotes. This means they're G phases take longer because they have more DNA and organelles to replicate before division. So if you seed two equal amounts of media with the same number of bacteria in one and fungi in the other, after twenty-four hours the bacteria flask will be more dense.
