My parrot fish has white fungus on its side he hasn't been himself for the last 2 days. what could it be?

As usual - any fish desease is being called Ich.





Ich doest NOT look like fungus!!!





It probably is actually fungus, or a bacterial infection that happens to look similar.





Check your water condtions, poor water will often weaken the fish and lead to all sorts of random infections. (Ammonia or Nitrate buildup etc) Then treat with a general purpose antibiotic from your pet store.





You may be able to save your fish if it's not too far gone.





But do NOT add Ich medication, thats a totally different parasite, and treating with the wrong meds will almost certainly kill you fish.

this is highly contagious to all fish in your tank


get to your local pet store and buy an ick treatment


follow the instructions on the bottle for correct dosing as per tank size

It could be a canarial disease. Probably the chirpies. Don't worry it's tweetable.
