My friend has had toe nail fungus for more than 7 years?

he wants to get rid of it, is it possible?? I told him to get it done surgically, but he's afraid, can anyone help him?My friend has had toe nail fungus for more than 7 years?
IF he has had it that many years he needs to see a doctor but he can use over the counter products such as Mycocide or any antimicrobial solution which will help . Also an ';at home remedy'; is Listerine Mouthwash,(it is a powerful antiseptic) so just soak feet in this several times a day until he can see a doctor.

he could get a fungal foot creme or powder from the chemist
He needs to see dr. to get some medication for anti fungal, the strong one. He can try something over the counter like lamisil cream or lotrimine.
