How do you treat a fungi at the base of a large tree?

D,your a gardener as well. This time you have hit on my actual profession. However your questions are always so short, and for this one l need a better description. If it's tiny orange mushrooms then it;s honey fungus and very difficult to treat,as the EU has banned all the effective treatments.Otherwise it is friendly mushrooms. You can kick them off,or if you don;t want the to return next year, than get a fork or spade and dig out the area and replace with soil from elsewhere.

What do you call a mushroom that enjoys parties and discos????A fun giHow do you treat a fungi at the base of a large tree?
There is some type of spray that you can use only on the base. I have a cherry tree, apple tree and crab apple tree. They had a type of fungi on the base.last year and i used the spray. It worked. But this year i did not get a chance to spray them. The leaves are falling off and there are marks on the leaves. So i would do treat them fast. But i'm sure you know that! How do you treat a fungi at the base of a large tree?
I think you need a fungicide D. There are a few on the link but I'm no expert and my mum who would be better to answer this question will be asleep right now. I will phone her tomorrow if that will help but I suggest in the meantime you consult someone at your favourite garden centre.
You can buy fungicide at a garden store and spray the area every week. It won't kill the tree but it should get rid of the fungus.
