Bausch and lomb has pulled it's contact lens cleaner ReNu with moisture loc off the US market, after reports of a possible link to an eye infection that may cause blindness.
Today the company took out full page ads apologizing to consumers, and offering full refunds on their product.
The ad also states that the product has not been proven to cause the eye infection.
US health officials are investigating 109 reports of a rare fungal eye infection. Of 30 cases that have been investigated by the centers for disease control, 26 wearers were found to be using the ReNu product.

Symptoms also include unusual redness of the eye, eye pain and sensitivity to light.
Health experts recommend:
Washing your hands with soap and water and drying them before handling lenses.
Also, wash your lens cases with soap and water weekly and replace the cases every three months
